  BONABOTO CONGRATULATES CATHOLIC CHURCH.

BONABOTO wishes to congratulate the Catholic Church in the North on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of its establishment in Northern Ghana.

The Church has no doubt made significant contributions towards the development of our area in particular and the North in general. BONABOTO notes in particular the provision by the Church of schools, agricultural stations, clinics, portable water, and other poverty alleviating interventions when official developmental efforts had not reached many parts of the North.

As an association, which is very much interested in developmental issues, we consider the establishment of six hundred and fifty-two [652] educational institutions in the North very commendable. The contributions in the area of education, healthcare, agriculture, micro financing and the formation of co-operative societies have helped to improve the living standards of the people over the years. Indeed, it is the hope of our association that the Catholic Church will continue to engage in these progressive interventions as part its evangelism programme throughout the North and other deprived areas of the country.

BONABOTO will call on the Catholic Bishop of Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese, the Most Rev.Lucas Abadamloora, during our National Congress in December to officially express BONABOTO’S gratitude to the church.

Signed
Dr.Thomas Akabzaa
National Chairman
