BONABOTO Donates Equipment to Bolga Hospital

BONABOTO has donated a HBA1c diabetic diagnostics machine and a Urine Analyzer worth GH¢12,000 to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

The acquisition of the health equipment was made possible by the association’s student representatives in tertiary institutions throughout the country to support and promote good health among the people of the region.

The equipment was donated by Mr Andrews Atutia, a medical researcher with the St Michael Diagnostic Centre, Ghana in collaboration with Clinitek Simens in UK. Mr Atutia has been affiliated to the region through friends of the association. He pledged his continuous support for the people of the region.

Mr Didacus Afegera, Chairman of the Upper Regional Branch of BONABOTO who handed the items to the hospital authorities prayed that the equipment would be put to good use. Highlighting some of the activities undertaken by members of the association, he said 2,040 grafted mango seedlings were distributed to households in the region for planting and efforts were being made to step up guinea fowl production in the area to improve on the economic and health status of people.

He cautioned against the use of the name of the group for party politics.

Mr George Atampugre, Chief administrator of the hospital, thanked BONABOTO for the equipment and all other support the association continued to provide the medical facility.
